Hachimantai
Providing city views, Appi Arts Color in Hachimantai provides accommodation, free bikes, a garden, a shared lounge, a restaurant and ski-to-door access. The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. Breakfast and Dinner were delicious. They provided a shuttle service since the walk is about 15 minutes to the slopes.
Shizukuishi
Located in Shizukuishi, 30 km from Morioka Station and 14 km from Koiwai Farm, Pension Sanrinsha provides accommodation with free WiFi, air conditioning, a garden and a terrace.
The lodge offers 2-star accommodation with a hot spring bath.
Great ski location for Iwate Kogen Snow Park and Amihari Onsen Ski Resorts. The owner was very kind and hospitable, would recommend this lodge to my Aussie travellers.

Providing city views, Appi Life is Beautiful in Hachimantai provides accommodation, free bikes, a shared lounge, a terrace and a restaurant. The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. Hosts could not be more accommodating. Pick you up from the station, drop you to the ski slopes and make delicious food- to suit your taste. I recommend Japanese every time. The sushi was the best we have ever had. Really worth a return trip!

Super friendly staff. A bit hard to communicate ahead of the stay but we finally understood there’s not really a storage area inside the lodge for bags. We came up on the morning bus from Morioka to Appi Kogen and wanted to ski that same day. There are big and small lockers at the resort day lodge (“Appi Plaza”). Little private bath (“onsen”) inside the lodge is extra charge and not included by default. Owners drive to ski resort in the morning (8am-9am) and back in the afternoon (4pm-5pm) free of charge.
Ski in, ski out! Meals are really good and not repeatitive. Nice view from common lodge and open air bath (rotenburo), large sauna! Various meal options in nearby cafeteria. Atmosphere is great.👍
