Featuring garden views, Holly Hut Shepherds Hut offers accommodation with a terrace and a patio, around 11 km from Kilkenny Castle. Karima & Caroline our hosts were such lovely people and a pleasure to deal with. Very helpful and friendly, giving good tips on where to eat vegan food, so top hosts and thank you for your hospitality. We rented the three shepherds huts for the duration of our stay late August and they were all very clean, modern, comfortable with electricity and sockets to charge your gadgets. Nice ensuite bathroom - I note other comments regarding the shower but if you are careful and don't blast out hot water on full we managed decent showers up up to 5 mins, which is plenty of time. Great outdoor seating area to each hut with individual chimineas and a separate communal BBQ area. Next to Jenkinstown wood which has a lovely walk and also a deer sanctuary where you can hand feed the deer. Great location for exploring Kilkenny or further afield - we went to Wicklow mountains which is just over an hour away, plus lots of other places in Galway, Carlow, Tipperary & Waterford. We would definitely stay again as we did enjoy it very much.
