We loved this place! So much so that i am already planning a trip back here with my partner. It is an absolute oasis! At the start of the national park and yep, like so many others, we were fortunate to see Orangutans literally in the hotel garden. We watched a mother and baby in the hotel grounds for 2 hours. It was absolute heaven! We saw other monkeys too and plenty of gekos. It really felt like you were in the jungle. The cabins are brilliant. You get your own little terrace, they even have clothes horses in each room. We didn't want for anything. Staff were friendly and helpful and helped us to organise a jungle trek. There was only four of us on the trek so it was very private. I can not say enough about this place.

I especially liked how respectful Johnny was with these amazing creatures, ensuring we keep a respectful distance but giving me lots of time to observe and enjoy. the overnight stay was highly memorable, we had PI as our private cook who cooked 5 different delicious dishes and a very tasty breakfast. can only highly recommend visiting Bukit Lawang and am sure there is not better way to experience it by staying at green Travelodge.
