This part of the river is beautiful. It is a simple but well-maintained property. The bathrooms are very nice and the bed was comfortable. The food was amazing and Marta, Harrison and her family gave us a tremendous vacation.  they helped us make travel plans on word and provided boat trips to all of the places we wanted to take a look at. Great communications prior to our trip and getting us here. Great communications with our driver- no way I could’ve been happier. 

Chalet Castillo is set in the shores of the Izabal Lake and features an extensive garden, a swimming pool, private marina with boats and Jet Ski and free Wi-Fi in all areas. The place is beautiful, calm and nice. The beds are comfortable and the amenities good. The staff is very kind and helpful. We needed to connect my grandma's insulin cooler to a power source, but there was no electricity in the hotel. The receptionist helped me by turning on a power generator, and provided an extension to our room so we could plug in the cooler.
