Uttoxeter
The Parlour is a cosy Shepherd's Hut in the village of Denstone. If adrenalin is what you seek then despite our peaceful location, we are an only 3 miles from Alton Towers. The market town of Ashbourne, the gateway to the Peak District, is twenty minutes away, so we are an ideal base from which to explore the area. We particularly like Dovedale, Bakewell and Hartington and Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall or some of the local National Trust properties such as Calke Abbey are not to be missed. It was a beautiful location and incredibly easy to get there via taxi. The parlour was beautiful and cosy for us on a couple of cold nights. We loved our stay.

I love how within nature we felt within the trees birds singing chickens next door clucking. There is alpacas across the road and we saw two large what we think are maybe buzzards. Also watching the lambs jumping around in the dirt in the fields was a lovely thing to watch. At night we could hear the owls and the outdoor pods outside the pub lit up different colours and the tree climbing frame it looked very magical. I love how spacious the cabin is and how lovely and warm it is throughout. The open plan living room, dining room and kitchen area was nice loved the layout. Decent size tv I was able to log into my streaming services on so we could watch movies while relaxing on the comfy sofas. The bedrooms were perfect for what we wanted the double room is massive and nicely set out. The bunk bed room was perfect for my son.
The tea, coffee, milk, sugar, toilet rolls and other bits that are available were very helpful.
The jacuzzi was just amazing… my first time in one and I was not disappointed… my son loved it too. The large parasol above was very helpful for me due to it raining but my son loves the mix of the cold rain and the jacuzzi. The balcony was very helpful for his massive telescope.
We will definitely be back loved our stay for my sons 16th birthday

Lovely friendly staff and the bonus of having dinner outside in the lodge with live entertainment was a brilliant bonus! It was also an amazing location for us to travel to Alton Towers the next day. Highly recommend this lovely little hotel
Really unusual wooden lodge. Lovely welcome pack.
Beautiful lodge with everything that we need. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you
Loved everything about the Lodge. Beautifully decorated, superb location and just so peaceful.
The lodge was a great area for drinks and the pizza oven was a great touch. Staff were chatty and friendly and the atmosphere was lovely. Food was very tasty and worth the price.
It was pretty much false advertisement from the booking.com pictures as there were all the pictures of there more expensive lodges and little did we know we were in the main building in a run down room with no facilities at all no had soap or anything when you’d atleast expect that from any hotel. It was just all round poor apart from the staff and breakfast. They need to change the pictures as to what you’re actually booking and paying for because if I knew I wouldn’t have gone.
The lodges were gorgeous, very smart and clean, with nice views. Dishwasher, washer, dryer, fridge freezer etc excellent condition. The bed was comfortable. There was a balcony with a table and chairs. It was nice and warm. The whole site is clean and well kept. None of it was tatty in any way.
Great location and decent size room for the money. Drayton Manor literally down the road. Excellent shower in the ensuite. Way better than travelodges or other hotels we stay in!
