Lodge in Matlock

We attended an event at the Alma Lodge so it was really convenient to be able to stay at the venue itself. The rooms in the Annex were quiet so we slept well. There were lots of communal break out areas so you could have quiet conversations when the music was loud.
Fabulously maintained property and grounds. Lovely location with stunning scenery. We stayed in one of the woodland lodges which was really worth it. We had a meal in the restaurant with cocktails which was to a very high standard. It was nice to enjoy good vegetarian food as we often struggle to find a high quality vegetarian meal. We also had spa treatments and used the bike hire facilities. Again, all to a very high standard. Every member of staff that we interacted with was incredibly friendly and accommodating.
Great lodges, lovely location. Good to have a pub onsite. You can easily access the tissington trail.
The location was spot on 😊 Very clean infact much cleaner than some Travelodges I have stayed in .
Loved the location and the lodges
Excellent lodges. Really clean & comfortable. Excellent communication from the owners. We went 10 years ago & really enjoyed it then also.
The location was great, beautiful part of the country and very peaceful. Lodges were very clean and far enough away from each other that you didn't feel encroached upon at all. Lots of plates, cups and cutlery and well stocked with pots and pans and a dishwasher to make self catering super easy. The hot tub was the reason we'd booked and we were not disappointed, it seemed to be looked after well and it was lovely and warm. Sofas were comfortable as were the beds, with clean sheets, and robes & towels provided.
