Set 32 km from Muirfield, Eco Indigo offers accommodation with a patio, as well as a garden and a terrace. A fridge, a microwave and toaster are also offered in the kitchen, as well as a kettle. This is an incredibly beautiful place. The setting is idyllic. Quiet, beautiful. Fantastic views of Bass island and the sea from Belhaven pod. The owners of the place were extremely lovely. They left eggs from the ducks on the farm for us as well as chocolate bars and cheese. We were arriving late at the property and they left the keys to the property in an easily accessible place and the lights on for us to get into the property without any problems. Extremely thoughtful.

Situated 12 km from Muirfield, JOIVY The Lodge At Gilmerton House, North Berwick features accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. Lovely cottage, generous rooms, comfortable bed, great shower, awesome garden. Kitchen contained everything one could need and there was an abundance of firewood for the lovely log burner. Little touches like gorgeous natural toiletries and luxurious linens really enhanced out stay. Perfect.

Located in Newbridge in the Lothian region and Edinburgh Zoo reachable within 14 km, Linwater Holiday Park provides accommodation with free WiFi, a children's playground, a shared lounge and free... Amazing location. Very calm and quiet and the staff were very polite and helpful.

Orchard House Lodges by Ecohuman has garden views, free WiFi and free private parking, situated in Haddington, 16 km from Muirfield. This is a great location just outside of Haddington and a short drive of around 20 minutes to Edinburgh. Haddington is a beautiful town with great eating places such as Diggory's and the Waterside Bistro. St. Mary's Church was completed in 1462 and is a must see. There were four lodges at this quiet, pastoral location. There is ample parking available. The lodge we stayed in was comfortable for two persons and was equipped with a kitchenette and a good bathroom facility. There are also four Highland Cows in the pastures nearby. You cannot touch them or feed them but having them nearby was a nice experience. Check in was easy and accomplished remotely. We never had contact with the host in person and that was fine.

The property has everything you would want or need as a family. It is completely livable year round. The neighborhood is so peaceful and well connected it feels like a home away from home. You will want for nothing and the extras are a pony, two minature pigs, and a baby sheep. The river is spectacular and the local spots like Laird and Dog are perfect. The 31 bus goes into the city every 30 minutes or so and you don't have to deal with any tourists. The ancient cemetery is moments away and makes you think of the William Wallaces of the world. Living history at its finest.
