Lakeside Eco Pod is located in Oswestry, 16 km from Chirk Castle and 26 km from Erddig, in an area where hiking can be enjoyed. We were kindly upgraded so didn't stay in the pod due to the terrible weather at the time. (It was very late, very dark, windy and had been raining across England for days.) I suspect there might have been a search and rescue if we'd tried to walk through the field to the pod in those conditions. So I can't comment on the pod. But look forward to returning at some point when the weather is better.

Situated in Bodmin in the Cornwall region, On the Moor Shepherds Huts features accommodation with free private parking. Lovely cosy hut, perfect for a couple and a pet! The location is within half hr of all the local sight seeing spots in either direction that takes your fancy. The local pub The Old Inn, which serves the most outrageous portions was our food source and it's just under 5min drive

Absolutely gorgeous setting, high up above the village of Hope and close to the ascent to Win Hill. This little cabin is located on a charming hillside, with sheep and lambs coming up to the gate to say hello. Very idyllic and quiet at night (save for the bleating lambs!) with a gorgeous view south across the valley. There is a little barbecue and outside seating area to take it all in. The cabin itself is compact, but clean and with everything you need for a quirky couple of nights' stay. Would absolutely book again.
