Amazing location for a relaxed vibe. It wasn’t apparent to me when we booked but it’s even better than expected - amazing common areas including an option to add on a private forest bath and breakfast.

The view the view the view the view the view the view. What a way to start, spend, and end a day. Absolutely loved showering outside while looking out at the sea and falling asleep listening to the sea.
Tappernøje
The lodge provides guests with a patio, sea views, a seating area, satellite flat-screen TV, a fully equipped kitchenette with a fridge and a microwave, and a private bathroom with shower and free toiletries. A stovetop and toaster are also provided, as well as a coffee machine and a kettle. Fabulous homely cosy space by the lake
The only good thing, was that the location wasn't far from were I ended up lodging.
We had a spare day, and not knowing this part of Denmark, decided to visit. Lovely vistas from the hotel, (like being on safari) with cattle roaming on the marsh towards the beach. Super quiet, lovely friendly efficient staff, excellent dinner and breakfast. Perfect.
Breakfast was fresh, cozy and kid friendly. Bedroom was clean and spacious for 4 people, it had a fan an a small fridge, which was very practical. Beds were comfortable and the owner was very friendly, if traveling back in that area, we will definitely stay again. Grocery stores were within 6 minutes away by car, and knuthenborg safari was close and easy to drive from there. 100% recommended.
This is essentially a lodge which is not staffed. I needed to collect my key card from Rodvig Kro og Badehotel which is a pleasant 5 minute walk away. This is where breakfast is served. The hotel staff were helpful and the breakfast good.
