Greeted by numerous pets and the charming owners, Armando and Amparo, who were attentive to our needs and did well to deal with our imperfect Spanish. We stayed in an freestanding cottage built mostly by Armando with impressive materials, craftsmanship and taste. It was a homey experience; we would happily have stayed longer.

Enjoying a beer on our private balcony watching humming birds darting around the flowers in the late afternoon is a great memory. The restaurant was simple but excellent with very friendly staff. The weather allowed is to eat outside for both breakfast and dinner with lovely views. Their laundry service was very quick and efficient.

With garden views, Payande - Tatacoa is situated in Villavieja and has a restaurant, a concierge service, bar, garden, year-round outdoor pool and terrace. The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. Host were extremely accomodating despite my near non existent Spanish. Used translation apps back and forth and answered all my question as well as providing me with several meal and tour options
