Hotel Du Lac is located on the banks of the Aare River, only a short walk from Lake Brienz and the centre of Interlaken. It offers free internet access. The staff were very polite and helpful. The location was excellent, just across from the train station and next to the lake cruise pier (We got off the train with two pieces of luggage, rushed to the hotel to drop off our luggage, and then caught the river cruise boat, all within seven minutes.) The breakfast had limited selections, but it was sufficient, especially considering the overall prices in Switzerland. Additionally, there is a Coop supermarket right behind the train station. We could even watch people paragliding from our window.
