A beautiful cabin on a wonderful ranch with gorgeous horses, a super friendly dog, and hens, surrounded by trees under the starry sky. Clem, LP, Billy, and Soan made us feel at home, and we enjoyed every minute of being there! Getting up to the sunrise with horses in front of your cabin, having fresh eggs laid by the seven kind hens for breakfast, hanging out with the horses, and exploring the area - it's 15 minutes away from Mont Megantic, the dark-sky reserve, with tons of kid-friendly activities - was like living a dream. It's a hidden gem! Can't recommend it enough and can't wait to go back!

Good choices for meals and very affordable. I enjoyed having for free access to pedal boat and kayak. The beach is calm and perfect. The lake is just exceptional and the place is beautiful. We bought food locally and cooked in our cottage. We were to arrive the previous day, but a snow storm on Les Caps forced us to turn back. Called the owner who graciously didn’t charge for that night. Amazing! Highly recommend.

This Gatineau Park, Quebec country-style inn is a 30-minute drive to Ottawa. The hotel features a full spa, outdoor river pool and hot tub. What a nice 2 night stay at Wakefield mill. We had 2 deluxe rooms in the main Mill building. The rooms were very comfortable, rustic and had lots of space. We had a lovely view over the river. We had lunch and dinner at the Heron bistro, the food was excellent. We had breakfast at the main restaurant and it was also excellent, with attention to presentation. The staff in general was very welcoming and friendly. The General Manager came to speak with us the first morning of our stay and recommended some local walks in Wakefield town. Two members of our party had a massage at the spa, which they thoroughly enjoyed. We didn't try the outside spa, however, it looked really welcoming by the river. The outdoors facilities are really nice, with the red Adirondack chairs and the gardens. We will absolutely return if we are in this area.
