We loved getting to do canoe, walking and bike safaris, day and night safari drives (some at extra cost but good value!) and we saw such a diversity of wildlife. The jaguar expedition to Porto Joffre is not to be missed-truly a life changing experience to see a jaguar in the wild and, whilst it was a long day and additional cost, was so well organised and very worth it. The lodge itself is great with fantastic food, friendly and helpful staff, and comfortable and cool rooms (with air con which is very necessary in the Pantanal!). You feel very close to nature the whole time but are also in comfort. As an aside, it was very useful to be able to buy a wildlife guidebook and long sleeved top at the lodge. Staying at Aymara was the perfect way to see the wonders of the northern Pantanal-I highly recommend.
