Offering an outdoor pool and views of the garden, Kuranda Ngorongoro Lodge is situated in Kuranda in the Queensland Region. Skyrail Rainforest Cableway is 4.9 km from the property. Staying with Sue and Patrick is a unique experience. The birds and musky rat kangaroos that they have rescued are a treat to see up close. The cottage has impressive African decor from their travels. That, combined with the tropical landscape makes you feel like you’re in an exotic location. We brought our own food to make dinner and the kitchen was more than adequate to prepare a nice dinner. We wished we could have stayed longer than one night.

Noah Creek Eco Huts is a small family business that offer exclusive eco-friendly lodges and glamping accommodation in the heart of the Noah Creek Rainforest Reserve, the largest private World Heritage... The whole place was magical. We loved bathing in the outdoor shower and bath surrounded by tropical plants. We were here not long after cyclone Jasper hit, so most places in Daintree were closed and there were no other guests. We had to cancel a few tours we booked because of the cyclone but we think that was a blessing in disguise since it gave us time to relax, cook delicious meals in the outdoor kitchen, cool off in the swimming hole a few minutes walk away, walk north along the closed road, helped clear some of the deadfall along one of the trails (we volunteered). There were so many different rainforest sounds in the day and at night. The 5 nights we were there we didn’t use our car to get anywhere, other than when we arrived and left! We will be back one day in the future.

Situated across 60 acres, each of the Montville Ocean View Cottages boast a balcony offering stunning ocean and hinterland views. The breakfast was excellent and can be easily cooked on the Weber BBQ on the deck. It was an idyllic spot and very peaceful with great views. The rainforest walk was challenging but excellent to have this as a private walk. The facilities are excellent and extremely comfortable. The privacy and quiet is only interrupted by the breeze and visiting Kookaburras.

Nestled within lovely native gardens, Whispering Valley Cottage Retreat offers accommodation with a balcony, a wood fireplace and 2-person spa bath. Guests enjoy free on-site parking. quiet, tranquil. the staff were lovely and very accommodating. donkeys were fun.

Perched on the edge of an escarpment, Treetops Seaview Montville offers tree houses with a spa bath and a fireplace. Guests enjoy a free daily breakfast hamper. Loved the cabin. Loved the view. Loved the hamper and stocked refrigerator. Loved the unlimited firewood. Was just a great visit and we wished that we were staying longer.

Milkwood Lodge features secluded cottages with a veranda offering mountain views. Guests can relax in the outdoor saltwater pool complete with waterfall. A free airport shuttle service is available. Very nice location, close to the city centre yet nice and quiet. Really friendly people and great service!
