We had an amazing visit. The tent was luxurious. Total.silence at night and the camp fire was massive. Completely felt alone in the South African Bush. You can walk for hours around the property. Henrick was a great host.

Amazing host! Beautiful bushveld with mountain views. The lodge is part of a working farm with cattle, buffalo's, etc. You cannot ask for a better weekend away. You feel part of it all and I was sad to leave.

Had the best time! We came here to relax at the end of a Botswana, South Africa road trip. The lodge is beautiful and peacefully located. The view is amazing. The staff is just the best. We felt so “at home” here. It is not a big 5 game place, but they state what game they have on their website so we were fully aware of this. We enjoyed the game drive very much due to great explanations. If you are coming for a relaxing getaway in the bush, and not for a big 5 safari, this is the place!
The camps/houses/lodges are private and away from each other, so the feeling of being on your own game farm comes forth. The own driving on the farm is a bonus. Roads are well marked, and facilities are kept clean

A special place, awesome for wildlife, outdoors and sport lovers. Our lodge Alden Cottage had it's own lake you could canoe on! All the lodges are private and secluded and there is plenty of Lindani to explore in a car on the dirt roads or best of all on foot or a bike. Amazing value for money we had a great stay!
The lodge is managed by a very nice couple. The personnel was very friendly and helpful. Very good and tasty food (breakfast + dinner). Although the accomodation suffered from a storm on the day of our arrival, i.e. electricity was hurt, Tanya did everything to provide us a remarkable stay. Choert made a fantastic game drive and concentrated on only two of the Big Five (lions + rhinos), so we could spent most of the time observing animals instead of making kilometers in the Welgewonden reservat (entry is very close to the lodge).
A peaceful and quiet bushveld lodge where you can relax while you listen to all the birds and watch the game. An amazing breakfast and dinner were served. All the staff are very friendly and do their best to make your visit memorable. The rooms are big and spacious and decorated to suit the bushveld theme.
Value for money in spacious and comfortable lodgings and both peaceful and quiet.
Owners are clearly professional and go out of their way to make sure everything is always actioned.
Matingwe is definitely recommended. Best lodge in the area including the possibility for big-five game drives in Welgevonden. Choert loves his job as a ranger and really got the most out of the game drives. Price-performance is optimal. Rooms are beautiful (love the bathroom!), very clean and nothing was missong. The food (dinner and breakfast) leaves nothing to be desired. Everything was delicious without exception. Thanks for that dear Tanya. We felt welcome and like home. We will be back!!!
There are numerous big open plan areas that make this big house feel even bigger. Great for groups of 10 people. The addition of a wood fire heated pool next to the boma makes this house even better seeing that they are hard to find in a lodge. Very private and nice for a weekend getaway with family and friends. The owner and staff were also very accommodating and super friendly.
