Looking for a lodge?
Ideal for nature-lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and self-catered. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than holiday homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.

Nkwasi Lodge is situated at a perfect location. My sister and I were there for a family funeral therefore we did not have an opportunity to have breakfast nor to use the facilities completely however Hein was extremely wonderful and accommodating. We will definitely come back again.

Was great to be back after so long. I love the Buffalo thorn chalet. It's romantic, spacious, quiet, comfortable and beautiful. The surroundings of nature and the garden is peaceful and beautiful. Great to sit outside the patio or braai area especially in the evenings and gaze at the stars. Staff is always so welcoming and friendly. Highly recommended River Rock Lodge.

The rooms are lovely, clean and spacious. There is air-conditioning in every room which makes it a plus... Love everything about Nkwasi Lodge. Mr Hein is also a super host. Definitely staying again soon😉

The room was well appointed and had all the basic requirements we needed. The lodge is away from the hustle and bustle of the main street yet close enough for it to be convenient. The lodge also has backup water and electricity which really sets it apart from what some of our friends experienced in other lodges.

The Lodge is situated just outside (less than a km) the town so you don’t have the regular noise issue most others in town have. The room is beautifully decorated for its price with all the needed amenities. The allowed late check-in and early check-out as we were on the road. Will definitely book there again.

Very neat lodges. Good value for money. Quiet place close toe the river, like staying on a farm where you can have a good rest. Some lodges are in the riverbank. Springbok and ostriches walk around tamely in the big open green lawns. At night you can listen to the frog sounds which is very peaceful. During loadshedding they have gas which are a bonus. Would definately recommend this place. .
