All the meals were fabulous. We had been a little poorly during the early part of our trip, but the lodge was able to cater for our food requirements with very little notice.
The rooms are astonishing; huge verandas and our door showers.
Inside everything was thought through; capes for the safaris and throws for warmth if needed.
Stunning bathroom/
Wonderful dressing room.
We could have moved in permanently!!
Gerry is the most amazing host...she is warm and friendly and nothing is too much trouble.

The privacy / location and friendliness of the staff
Ideal for nature-lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and self-catered. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than holiday homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
The Staff were very accommodating, very friendly and made sure everything you needed was there before you could even think about it. The facilities were very good and I had the most beautiful view. Mimosa Lodge is very large so you can pick the kind of accommodation you like. The food, especially the breakfast that was included, was the best! Top class chefs! They even baked me gluten free bread as I can't eat wheat and made me a special sauce for my Kingklip since I am allergic to dairy. Really brilliant.
We just stayed one night. The chalets were clean and nice. The personal was really friendly.
Normally you should bring your own food, as we forgot that, they made us absolut delicios dinner and breakfast.
The Safaris have been beautiful
The most beautiful little cottage in a remote area of the farm. Complete silence except for the wind and birds.
The cottage is beautifully furnished and has everything you might need for a comfortable stay. The hot tub has a beautiful view and a bonus was that Alicia lit it a while before we arrived, so it was almost ready.
We would have liked another day or two to explore more of the farm. Two nights were just too short.
Everything was superb, the comfort and luxury of each lodge, outstanding food exceptional friendly staff. Charles who took us out on the game drives was exceptionally knowledgeable about the animals as well as the flora and fauna., and we had closer viewings of 4 of the big 4. We only missed seeing a leopard. This was a stay that will leave a lifetime of memories.
Loo Karoo Guest Lodge was comfortable and fully equipped for our self catering needs. The accommodation was perfectly located to access our planned mountain hikes. Also just a short walk into town to grab a nice bite to eat and drink at Mitchell’s Bar.
Extraordinary personal approach and high level service. Nicely equipped lodges, ideal for honeymoon, surreal sky full of starts at night. The resort is completely off grid powered by solar panels.
Had the most memorable unforgettable stay at the African Game Lodge!! It was peaceful & far away and well worth the 30km drive on the dirt road to get there! A particular highlight for our family was the 4x4 "Game Drive" with Monwa who agreed to take our family on a "non-standard" drive to get us as close to the bushmen paintings as possible! Very knowledgeable, very kind and caring! Would highly recommend the African Game lodge as your escape from the city to reconnect with nature!
