I liked the garden and the pool, and the atmosphere, in general, was excellent. The house is as advertised on booking.com. Breakfast was a highlight for me. The hosts are so friendly. I struggled to find the place, so I arrived at the hotel at 11:12 pm. Chris waited for me, and I checked in.

I skipped breakfast because I'm quite picky about what I eat, and I also have allergies, so I didn't want to disrupt my routine. Therefore, I prepared my own breakfast in advance.
I advise that people read the review to know what they need to bring to make their say extra comfortable, because it's not a hotel, it's actually a lodge that is great for glamping (indoor camping) I brought my own electric blanket, my flask, my cutlery and utensils and a cooler bag, I will be bringing my own Kettle and Heater for the next visit.
Great location. The place was clean and comfortable. We lacked nothing during our stay there. The owner was very friendly and helpful. We booked late but the owner was on hand to assist. I would definitely stay at the lodge again and recommend it to friends and family. The owner really deserves his flowers. The 5 star service we received there is unmatched!
City Lodge offers a variety of foods for breakfast which makes it easier to choose from based on my appetite for that day. The food is amazing, the pork ribs are so good they could convert a zionist! Amazing location with easy access to the mall and central to so many cool places around. The security guys at the gate are amazing as well, shoutout to Tebogo!
City Lodge feels like home now, it does not feel right to visit SA and not lodge at City Lodge. The staff, the location, the views, the rooms and the general sanitation
The theme and beautiful features of the place makes this lodge Luxurious. I will definitely stay here again. The area (of midrand) surrounding this lodge looks concerning but the friendly staff made me feel welcomed, the hightened and friendly security made me feel safe.
There was nothing to like. The linen in every room allocated to us was dirty, even after the rooms were changed, the linen on the beds was too dirty to sleep on. I don't think I'll ever lodge at this hotel or even recommend it to someone else, everything was poor to say the least
