The property is absolutely beautiful, once you get there. The road up the mountain was a fun challenge, but definitely worth it. The food is great, and staff are friendly and helpful. The hiking on property was a nice challenge. The staff helped us book a fantastic elephant interaction for our son's birthday, and packed us a huge picnic basket to enjoy. The first night we were there it was quite chilly and the staff set us up with the appropriate heaters to be used in our lodge and made sure we were cozy.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Kambaku.
The staff were friendly and always there if we needed something or had a question.
It was peaceful and tranquil, which let us relax.
They offer spectacular views of the Crocodile River and wildlife - even had some lions visit.
Very accommodating, food to die for and extra special was the packed breakfast for our early departure to the park.
Cannot wait to visit again.

Everything about Buhala was amazing from start to finish! Me and my wife enjoyed our honeymoon in the elephant suite which was such a pleasure. All staff were top tier with excellent service. We hope to someday return to Buhala lodge in the near future.

Rio Vista was a pleasant surprise. Lovely rooms, just a bit over-fragrant from what seemed to be an extreme carpet clean that didn't get the chance to air dry properly. Not unpleasant though. Views - fantastic. Staff friendly and helpful.
Food superb. Location fab.

You can see the elephants nearby in the rivers.
The buffets are simple but good.
The safari tours are quite recommended with a final stop near a river with hippos.

Oh what is not to like??? The layout of the rooms, the host Hartman is on top of his game! I mean even the ice machine is already started on your arrival! Such a wonderful bush experience! Kierieklapper is the best we have stayed in in a long time!
Ideal for nature lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and have kitchen facilities. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than vacation homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
Breakfast was ok but supper was bland, no starters, no salad bar, and plain simple food, for the price u pay, u would expect more. I've been to a 5 star lodge in the Barberton area and the food, there was excellent, rooms huge, here u living g in a shoe box.
Immaculate Gardens and well maintained facility. Great view over the river into Kruger. Animals from Kruger come over the river into the Lodges facilities.
The on site day spa was excellent as well!
The accommodation is good, clean and comfortable but the real stars of Boulders Safari Lodge are their staff and service. Nothing is too much effort for them, they will go out of their way to assist. The food and atmosphere at night was also great, we ate so well, thank you!
River House Lodge is a really beautiful hotel in the banks of the river. Amazing deck that you can relax and watch all the animals that come and go. You can even skip a safari game and stay there to relax. You will see many many animals
The room we had is a very big double room with a small balcony that has river view. Cause we were leaving very early in the morning i dont know how is the normal breakfast (we were taking a breakfast box that was ok) and a tastful dinner
Highly recommended
I was lucky enough to be upgraded to a room in the "Lions" lodges, facing the river (Thank you the Pestana Kruger Lodge and Genius 3 status). A herd of elephants crossed the river and came to eat under my balcony. Then we had dinner on the restaurant deck outside, in the dark, with the herd below and the sounds of the birds. An incredible location. Food from the buffet was excellent and as I left very early the next day, instead of breakfast I was given a full takeaway breakfast / lunch pack. All in all, an incredible stay!
If Booking.com would offer to give more than 10 points for super extraordinary lodges than we would give here 12 points. Kambaku River Lodge is for a stay close to the Kruger Park just perfect. We spent 5 beatiful nights with delicious breakfast, dinner and wild animals just passing in front. We recommend also to book Kambakus Safari with most experienced Kruger driver.
