I liked everything about village lodge. I'm from KZN. So I appreciated the quietness in and around the place. Friendly staff. Neat room I'd booked myself into, very cozy. Lovely scenery 👌🏽
The only thing I forgot was to take pictures ! Otherwise great place, highly recommend it and also very affordable even when I asked to bring someone to share the room with me, the rates weren't bad at all ! Thank you Village Lodge for making my stay in Harrismith a great one.
Extremely delightful holiday with family. The lodging was beautiful and well maintained. The staff was incredibly helpful. Highly recommend for a unique experience- it truly felt like we were in another country- safe and isolated- enjoyed the privacy and peaceful atmosphere!
Please note that the owner did not return our calls when we called for the keys. My technician had to find alternative accommodation. I will be lodging a complaint and request a refund for the inconvenience caused by this incident. May you kindly advise as to how I can claim for a refund.

Great little lodge in Harrismith, Stayed only for one night while travelling between Durban and Joburg. Met by the owner at check in who was very welcoming. Very comfy accomodation and a cooked breakfast in the morning.
At first while I was driving to the location I was sceptical for a second, but then I saw the beautiful mountains. It was a breathtaking scene. When we passed them and got to the lodge, it took my breath away, everything from the rooms to the views, was spectacular. Highly recommend.
We throughly enjoyed our stay here. The lodge has the best views, amazing service and beautiful rooms. The bushman paintings and the amazing hiking trail to get there was an awesome experience. The lodge had the most amazing cozy feel. The team running buffalo hills were so welcoming and efficient. We had the most perfect weekend and could not have asked for a better place to stay.
The proximity to the N3 made it very convenient to use. Yet, there were no noises from the hustle and bustle close by.
The lodging is close to other amenities and foods.
There is a nice little pub on the premises.
The staff were very welcoming and accommodating.
