Everything ! The vibe when we arrived, the pleasant, warm welcome, the original rustic but very comfortable rooms and last but not least, the food. Great people make a great place 😊 And what can be better than arriving to a comfortable lodge after a long drive. Thank you very much, Petra & Peter for your hospitality 🥰

Great location, clear instructions as how to get to the lodge. Friendly staff, beautiful grounds. Ensure you take your dinner with you, we were advised, so not an issue.

It’s a family run lodge with easy access from the main road, they offer great food at very affordable prices, the chalets are spacious, clean and very well equipped, and the hosts very friendly; fast WIFI. And you can watch Nyalas coming very close, let alone the beautiful plants, mostly succulents, growing here…

An Oasis of calm only 3km from the Botswana border madness. Lovely lodge bang on the Limpopo river. Lovely breakfast. No complaints from me.

Petra was a very friendly host, and she kindly moved us to room 3 for more privacy, it's a spacious room with a lovely garden view of the sunset. Peaceful and relaxing. Breakfast was delicious. Weltevreden Country Guest Lodge is very conveniently situated just before the Botswana border at Martin's Drift, and makes a great stop over before driving into Botswana in the morning.

The lodge is far more impressive than its pictures. The gardens are gorgeous and the riverside location beautiful. We were the only guests so enjoyed having the amazing lapa and central kitchen / dining / bar area to ourselves - even playing pool. Breakfast was extensive, laid out beautifully and delicious.

Friendly owners and warm welcome. Delicious dinner and proper veriety breakfast served. Rustic country lodge ideal for an overnight layover before crossing the Groblersbrug border to Botswana or returning to South Africa.
