Amazing location with stunning views of the beautiful Winelands. I stayed in room number 8 which was quite private and definitely had the view I expected. So quiet and serene with a complimentary wine tasting which is given on arrival as well.

Alan was a wonderful host and the room was delightful - a great view over the orchards and mountains. We arrived just in time to pick up a light dinner from the Farm stand across the road and dine on the patio.

It was just bad from the moment we got there. The staff is so rude and racist that we couldn’t even stay. We decided to leave immediately and had to spend money on accommodation again because obviously we didn’t get refunded.

Beautiful location in the mountains surrounded by apple orchards. Very basic but tasteful accommodation with magnificent views. All the food was decent but don't expect gourmet or anything amazing. Overall we really loved this place and would definately go again.

Africa Lodge, hotel in Gordonʼs Bay

A characteristic English cottage with landscaped gardens houses this lodge in the Western Cape Winelands. A palm-framed oval pool is the focus of this quiet hideaway.

Absolutely loved the feel of nature setting the fresh air the decor and the thatched roofing. Pity I did not book additional days to truly appreciate the property.

The view is amazing. Location very central for running, walking, swimming, dinning and a sundowner either at a restaurant or at Gordon's Beach lodge. The host Peet made us feel like we are part of the family. He specially did a Kabeljou for us on the braai. His wife Tanya made very nice side dishes too. The rest of the staff consist of one girl who really go above and beyond like Peet. In between loadshedding making breakfast and coffee. Rooms are big with everything one needs. From a welcome sherry to candles in the bathroom.

We stayed at Krystal Beach as part of our last leg of a journey to Cape Town from Dubai. It was for one night and we drove down from Ikhaya Safari Lodge. Room was a duplex with just enough space for a family of 5. We were given a nice room with a good view on one side (other side faced the entrance parking). The location was close to other tourist spots we had wanted to see so that helped.

We didn't stay long but were extremely satisfied with everything. Apart from the views which are hard to beat anywhere, the breakfast was the best we've ever had in a B&B. The staff were friendly and attentive. We would definitely stay at Harbourview Lodge again.

I've stayed in many lodges/hotels over quite a couple of continents and I was pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness, and the functionality of how the rooms are laid out, this was seriously an amazing experience I will be back. Everything works properly, small things to detail, for instance, milk in the fridge, a sufficient supply of coffee sugar and tea, even bottled water next to your bed. And then the beautiful environment surrounded by mountains and sea.
