Situated in between Dullstroom and Lydenburg, this picturesque Trout Lodge is bordered by a river with 2 dams, regularly stocked with trout.

We had a wonderful stay at Stonecutter’s lodge. The chalets are beautiful, clean and have everything needed for a wonderful stay. The chalets are well secured and nestled within a forest-like setting.

Amberley Mountain Reserve, hotel in Dullstroom

Featuring a swimming pool, a garden, a bar and views of the pool, Amberley Mountain Reserve is located in Dullstroom and provides accommodation with free WiFi.

Amberley is a most beautiful retreat! A little far out of town but well worth the drive for the peace and quiet. The farm is private so you get to fish in your own private dams which are well stocked. The staff, Elias and Sarah Jane are wonderful and cater for your every need. They even "babysat" my furry baby while we were out! The house is always warm and welcoming which we so appreciated in the cold weather. Mike, the manager, called in too and was quick to sort out any problems we had.

Remi Lodge, hotel in Dullstroom

Remi Lodge is situated in Dullstroom, 15 km from Dullstroom Bird of Prey & Rehabilitation Centre, 30 km from Verloren Vallei Nature Reserve, and 39 km from Belfast State Forest.

Remi Lodge felt more like a home away from home than a typical hotel stay. The house had everything we needed, from a fully-equipped kitchen to en-suite bathrooms in each room. The cozy atmosphere was perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. While it's a bit off the beaten path, the location added to the magic. We enjoyed peaceful mornings fishing in the dams and spotting wildlife like emus, wildebeest, and zebras right on the property. The beautiful gardens and outdoor areas were ideal for unwinding with family. The friendly staff went above and beyond, keeping the house sparkling clean every day. The check-in and check-out processes were smooth and hassle-free, and the host was incredibly accommodating. We'll definitely be back to Remi Lodge on our next trip to Dullstroom!

The host, Simon, was extremely helpful and the one or two issues we had were dealt with quickly and efficiently. It was very cold, but the living area of the lodge is well equipped for such weather and the electric blankets on the beds were lifesavers! Massive trout in the dams, since it is catch and release only, so a fisherman's dream. The town is also easily accessible for a bit of shopping/lunch etc.

All the comforts of home in an extremely well-appointed and stylish house. Lovely details: candles, a cut-glass decanter of sherry awaiting us, very comfortable beds and bedding. Lovely kitchen. And a charming and efficient helper. Our son even caught a handsomely-sized trout in the dam! Ambassador Lodge pulled out all the stops. We felt cocooned during our stay.

The house was in a spectacular location with beautiful scenery and amazing hiking trails. We will definitely come back here again and stay for a bit longer. If you look for a quiet getaway in a serene setting, this is the place to go. The main lodge is stunning and the breakfast was really good, staff there was very warm and friendly.

My third time at African Leaves Trout Lodge in the Oak House. Again it was absolutely fantastic. The decor in the house is tastefully done, quality of beds and linen is very good. The staff always friendly and keen to assist. The landscape is out of this world...we will defnitely return.

Breakfast was delicious, waiters were very friendly and helpful. Family who stayed at other lodges also join us for breakfast and as the group grow, the waiters just add tables without any complains.
