This hotel is very nice and the owners lovely. This review is for Americans because there may be things that are a surprise to Americans but not to South Americans. The room is a great value price but there are compromises that come aith this price. It is a 20’ shipping container and very small with little space for 2 people to unpack clothes, or a place to put toiletries, and nowhere to hang wet bathing suits and towels. You get 2 towels and 3 washcloths and if you need more, it will cost extra. You are required to bring your garbage to the road yourself. The room was very nicely finished, super clean, the a/c excellent and the bed very comfortable. But because the room is made from steel the WiFi couldn’t be accessed inside you have to sit outside to get service or use your phone as a hotspot if you need to use a laptop, and it was pretty slow compared to what we are used to in the US. Punta Rubia is a fairly remote beach area with no paved roads and very limited services. The grocery store is convenient, just down the road and there are 4 other choices for prepared food in town and one other store and one fruit stand to get fresh fruit and food. Cooking In the little room did not seem comfortable so we only prepared yogurt and coffee for breakfast and had to drive away for other meals. Also, they have a very large lawn and there is constant mowing and weed whacking going on, so totally enjoying the outdoors and pool was limited for us. The beach is a long walk away, or a short drive and we never had trouble parking there. The beach itself is fantastic, not crowded and very wide. The bicycles can be borrowed, which was fun to explore the area.and biking on the bumpy unsaved roads was certainly a workout!.
