The restaurant is really quite excellent... a real Adirondack treasure...food, service, atmosphere are all you could want. The lodging is a bit dated...carpet is best replaced in rooms that allow pets. Nevertheless the suite was very functional and provided three beds for three people. It is really close to Whiteface so Iwill stay here again ...even in the summer as there's an outdoor pool and the grounds back onto the Ausable River. PS Steve the resident handyman was quick and helpful when we had trouble with the lighting.

I spent a weekend at New Vida for a ski trip. The lodge exceeded expectations and has everything one would need for a ski weekend -- the rooms are cosy, there is a bistro to grab a quick snack before hitting the slopes, and a tasty restaurant with vegetarian options for the evening. My dad has memories of New Vida's past life, when it was Paleface ski resort, so it was especially cool to get to stay there and see its rebirth.

The lodge is a beautiful, very open space. Because we were there over Christmas week, and not on a weekend, we had the run of the house - the restaurant and bar areas were essentially a giant rec room for us and the few other guests.

We loved our stay here! It can seem silly but we really liked that the lights were on when we arrived in the dark. It felt immediately warm and secure. And it smelled so good from the wood structure of the cabin. The cabin was clean and cute. We loved that we could make a fire inside it really added something special to our evening. Plus, it was really close to our hike up whiteface for the next morning. We will be back again!

Cozy lodge with great staff, thank you Roger for taking care of our transportation difficulties since we came without a car. The room was very clean and had everything we needed + we were close enough to walk to the Whiteface ski resort, which was convenient. Great views of the mountain from our room.

Loved the location next to Whiteface and it was not too far from Lake Placid. The lodge was cute and with 18” of fresh snow, it looked beautiful. We enjoyed the dining room and had breakfast there both days which was great. Keith the manager is super friendly and treats you like family and makes sure your stay is excellent. The level of service was above and beyond what you normally experience.
