The location was great, and the property itself was serene even though it is next to such a busy road. This lodge has a lot of potential but needs attention. Overall, it is on par with the other Door County lodges and rentals in the same budget range.
Location was great and the staff was friendly but unobtrusive. They checked in on my while I drove from the airport to the lodge and were friendly when I checked in . Would stay again.
I've stayed at the Nordic Lodge many times years ago. This was my first time in 17 years and I was not disappointed. Staff friendly, had everything my friend and I needed and a great location.
the lodge is clean and comfortable. the indoor pool and hot tub were great and the fire pit was a great hang spot to visit with other guests. the lodge is in a perfect location for getting to lots of other activities.
Room was nice size.Check in was great. A fire going in the fire pit, beverages available small coffee maker in room with ceramic mugs!!! Hot coffee available in breakfast area even through evening hours nice fireplace in lobby. Breakfast consist of pancakes hard boiled eggs cereals donuts bagels English muffins with cream cheese would definitely consider staying here again the lodge is not in the middle of everything but easy to get around.
Our stay at the Open Hearth Lodge was great! We are a family of 4 and we brought our dog as well, and the room was nicely equipped with a dog bed, treats, blankets, towels and dog bowls. Front reception was very helpful and friendly, especially when my son spilled a bottle of gatorade on the bed and it soaked through all the layers and we needed new bedding at 8:30pm! The pool area was nice for the kids in the winter too, and the breakfast area was clean and welcoming.
The staff were so very nice, and accomdating. Such a beautiful place inside and out. We loved our room and all the amenities. It really felt cozy and warm just like home. Our kids enjoyed their stay as well and we would definitely recommend it and come back for sure! Thank you Open Hearth Lodge. :)
The owner was super friendly & very helpful. Very pretty place with nice decor throughout. Room & building were very clean and well maintained with a nice, homey feel. The 2 bedroom/2 bathroom apartment was perfect for 2 adults & 4 kids! Spacious and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable.
Loved the hot tub in the gazebo with the large windows & the rope lights! Everyone we met at the Lodge was very friendly!
Would definitely recommend this place if staying in Door County!!!
