Daisy is a really great staff member. She really looked after all of our needs, from setting up the wifi for the TV to providing us with cutlery so we could make sandwiches for lunch. A really wonderful first experience at the Snowshoe Lodge, certainly not our last!

The pool was being re-tiled and we found out would be closed upon our arrival. However since we didn’t get a call to notify us of that change before hand, the manager Michael booked us two facials valued at $250 each to make up for it and was very kind. All of the staff are so kind, helpful, and happy and it is a wonderfully beautiful, well maintained, and clean lodge.

A gorgeous, huge log hunting lodge with very large, well appointed rooms that are comfortable, rustic yet luxurious. The staff are all so friendly, welcoming and genuinely happy to see their guests and make their visit as comfortable as possible. The whole staff is phenomenal. The food is excellent, and we loved the daily hot chocolate and snores, as well as the chocolate chip cookies left in our room by housekeeping.

I really enjoyed the lodge space. I'm an early riser and my wife isn't so having a place to be in the early morning was a good thing for a motel style space. Fast wifi and super comfortable beds. Check in was easy for me, but may not be easy for everyone.

I was very surprised that this is a chain hotel - it feels like a well cared for boutique lodge. The staff was very friendly and personable, the hotel was very clean and the little perks like snacks of popcorn in the lobby, 24 hour hot beverage bar, and games/puzzles for the guests to enjoy made it feel like home. The morning breakfast was good as well, a wide selection to choose from with some variation day to day. The hotel was also had a great location by the lake with easy walking to everything in Lake Placid.
