The host, Margaret, was very accommodating. Our trip included getting stuck in deep snow due to Google Maps directions that took us down a road that wasn't maintained in the winter. She went out of her way to pick us up and was very understanding and fair as we had to stay an extra night due to the vehicle being stuck. The lodge is in a beautiful location and is an amazing place to stay. Additionally, Margaret is an amazing cook and provided one of the best meals we have ever had.
The host was incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. Overall, the lodge was relaxing and peaceful. I could not recommend this location enough, I can't wait for our next trip to the lodge.
The lodge has beautiful views. We were upgraded to the Alpine Suite, which suited our needs perfectly. The breakfast was home-made, delicious and served with care. The staff were wonderful, welcoming and accommodating. We will go back.
The view was spectacular from our room. Lodge is absolutely beautiful inside and out. Spectacular scenic hiking trails close by. Food (paid extra for breakfast but worth it) was excellent. Within reasonable driving distance of other local attractions near Idaho Springs. The couple who run this B&B are friendly and awesome. If you want a romantic getaway in the mountains, this is it!
Such a beautiful place. The lodge fits the setting, with the feel of the log cabin. Not many rooms , but that adds to the comfort. The bed was super comfortable , though being older, it was a little hard to get into as they are high up. very quiet and relaxing . Was surprised to see the humming birds which were are so tiny - like big butterfly's
The host / hosts - the family pitched into help. Breakfast was exceptional, I wish we could have had dinner there !
