The decor in the room was fresh and very tasteful and rustic, fitting in with the setting in the countryside.
The bed was very comfortable and the bedding was soft and pretty. The towels were soft and thick.
Loved the communal BBQs on the balcony, plus the mini firepit and pizza oven.
Fridge was fairly new. Coffee maker worked well and coffee pods were of good quality. There was a microwave.

These are very well build and designed cabins in the woods just outside of Hill City. Very peaceful place to stay that feels rustic and in nature in the middle of very busy and tourist Black Hills. We really love the Black Hills area and this helps us enjoy being there. Is relatively close to Rushmore, Jewel Cave, Deadwood, Custer State Park, Sylvan Lake, ATV rentals, 1880 Train, riding some of the fantastic gravel Michelson bike trail, etc, which we did all of and more. A very good value if you have six or so people with you.

We loved this lodge from the moment we arrived. We were welcomed by Deb and shown to our room which was amazing. Hearing the back story to this delightful lodge was both sad and heartwarming. The love and dedication and hard work to make this lodge a special and memorable place has truly paid off. The rooms are exquisite, the common areas are welcoming and the wide verandah is gorgeous. What is not to love about this place. The unexpected home cooked breakfast on our first morning there was delicious also. A departing hug just sealed the deal - this was a special place!!!

From the minute we arrived the owner and his family made us feel welcome. The room was recently updated and super clean. The beds were very comfortable. We liked the location and it’s proximity to all the parks and sites we wanted to see. I would highly recommend starting at Mountain View Lodge and cabins.
It was lovely that we could sit outside our room and enjoy the fresh air and peace and quiet.......we were there with a group of 20 friends and family two lodge rooms, 3 pull through trailers, and 1 cabin. The pool was lovely and we used it twice while we were there.
We found there was so much to do in the area and decided we wanted one additional day. The owners, Carey and Melissa, were so helpful and accommodating. The rooms are lovely and they have beautiful cabins as well. I would highly recommend Mountain View Lodge.
The location was just beautiful. The deck and patio is a great place to just relax. There was so much to see and do around the lodge as well as a very nice Hill City with lots of souvenir shops and restaurants.
