Ideal for nature lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and have kitchen facilities. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than vacation homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
The location was very central to the activities we had planned on our trip. We loved the retro character of Curly Redwoods Lodge and the covered carport outside the rooms is a bonus!
This the a classic old style motor lodge with a long and unique history. Always enjoy revisiting this property. Stayed in a room with an updated bath which was nice.
Only stayed for a night on a road trip with my teenage son, but we enjoyed our short time here. The room and bathroom were spotless, and our check-in was seamless & efficient. Loved the retro feel and the write up at the front desk on the history of the lodge.
The lodge was right on the shoreline; every room had a window to the sea. There was only grass and sand between the lodge and the water. The dinner we selected was excellent. The View was wonderful. Nice size bathroom.
Friendly owners, super clean and tidy rooms, comfy beds, and the cutest little toilets.
And its history is amazing! The entire lodge and every room was built from one huge redwood tree!
Close to the beautiful Crescent City Harbor, with lots of great little restaurants withing walking distance. The best!
Highly recommended!
