There were some great people among the staff. Super helpful and always checking in, to see how you are. Great place to relax, enjoy wonderful view of the beach and go on day trips. Cabins were comfortable (but don't expect too much of the beds) and outdoor shower was a great feature. I had a perfext, relaxing stay at Mangrove Lodge.

We came back after our safari for another night, they were so nice to store our big backpacks for 2 nights when we were away. Top!
This is one of the worst hotel/lodge have ever seen.The pictures put in the website are foolong the customers.The reality is different from what you see in the pictures.It is a very old building and hotel.All amenities very old...steep stairs..it cant even be a hostel for kids/student.No value for money.It is not even suppose to be in the booking.com. Cant advise anyone to ever book this place.
The mangrove lodge has beautiful natural views and a historical site nearby.
We had an excellent time there and although the place needs a little bit of work it is still far better and more private than the resort we moved to later on.
The food is still some of the most delicious I’ve ever had on the island and the staff are all excellent.
Perfect location to do activities in and around Zanzibar and Safari to Tanzania, really clean, safe and felt wanted by the team.

We went looking for peace from the hustle and bustle of Nairobi.We found more than we expected.Mangrove Lodge is heavenly serene, the staff is friendly(Khalifa,Vero and Halima really stood out).The owners make you feel at Home.The food is fresh and their breakfast is wholesome.
Ishaq who was the waiter was very friendly and nice and looked after us.
We had a long Safari prior to our visit and this was the perfect spot to unwind and relax.
