This is a beautiful quiet and peaceful sanctuary on several hectares in busy Arusha!
Meru has a river running through the property, the original buildings, an outdoor eating area, pool, & more We stayed either side of our safari and it was the best decision to comr here to relax & wind down.
Our room & on suite was lovely with comfortable seating right outside the door.
Dining was great, the breakfast extensive and the service absolutely exceptional. We loved this place & will definitely return! 🙏😍

The stay was amazing, we had the greatest host with us, his name is Baracka and he is the loveliest guy :) if you want to stay with a local and really enjoy the African feeling, you are in the right place.

Dorinsky is amazing, so is Happy at the restaurant. The facility is great on the outside, and so is the dining room. We used the villas, which are really spacious, but the setup and the toiletries provided could be better. The food is 2.5/5, and the service staff could do better with some training on setting up for meals, quality of the food, responsiveness to guest questions and needs, etc etc. I really hope the owners and management work on these items. Otherwise the facility from the outside is really great.
Ideal for nature-lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and self-catered. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than holiday homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
We love the location, the welcoming hosts, the view and the food. Very accommodating. Lovely quiet retreat. We would absolutely recommend this place. Be prepared for a 1 hour bumpy ride to get here from T5. But, beautiful scenery along the way. The staff is great. The money from the lodge goes to support a local school and clinic. All solar powered.
We also loved the resident dog “Puma”. She just loved hanging out with us.
The night and early morning bird sounds are something to experience. Can’t beat the view of Mt. Meru.
Really a nice Lodge in beautiful surroundings. Park area just outside “Simba Lodge” with baboons and other monkeys (friendly)
Nice pool area in green surroundings to.
VERY friendly staff, Theresa and Gordy was so nice to us. They also did the food and it was very tasty !
All in all we really enjoyed to be there, and i can highly recommend to visit this Lodge.

Good activities offered by the hotel
Breakfast SUPERLATIV
It's not just a lodge, it's part of a community project. The lodge itself is located on the edge of Arusha National Park with a magnificent view of Mount Meru. We had a very large lodge for 2 people and were able to let off steam there.
This lodge is located on the border of Arusha National Park , very natural . There is the huge garden, swimming pool , the watching tower the nice view to see Mount Killimunjaro!!! . Room is good and clean. Staffs are friendly and helpful . food is excellent homemade and freshly.
We definitely would recommend to stay at this lodge.
Loved waking up to the sunbirds in the morning! The trips coordinated by the lodge were great too! Extra thanks to Godwin for taking me on a fabulous walk to see the colobus and more.
What a fantastic location! And fantastic staff. We had dinner here on both nights and both were exceptionally good. Compliments to the chefs. During our stay we explored Arusha NP (only a 30mins drive and did a walking safari.
Great experience. We've stayed here 2 times. First time arrived after climbing Kilimanjaro and were very much looking forward to some comfort and Meru View Lodge was exactly what we needed. Very friendly staff, great food, fantastic room/accommodation. Washing our cloths was possible and not expensive. Second stay was on our way back from safari. We needed to fly early in the morning (6 a.m.) to Zanzibar and we even got a great breakfast at 4 a.m., served with the same smile.
