Excellent stay at airport planet lodge with good facilities and friendly, attentive staff. The lodge was ideally located to quickly catch a morning flight from Kilimanjaro international airport.
It's located about 20 minutes from JRO. It's a nice lodge after/before your long flight from/to JRO. They provide free shuttle to/from JRO.
The room is clean and breakfast was good.

I stayed twice in one week. First time booked by booking.com, I had a great room, very confortable bed, excellent facilities. Second time it was booked through the safari agency: a different room with unconfortable bed, they added a matress to make it soft which was very unconfy, broken mosquito nets at the windows.. on the good side, the staff is always very helpful, beautifully decorated stylish hotel with a nice garden. It is much more then a standard airport hotel.
The staff and the ambiance of Airport Planet Lodge are both lovely. Relaxed atmosphere, beautiful grounds, comfortable clean rooms, great food with outdoor dining available and such kind, friendly staff! I stayed here on 2 separate occasions and highly recommend it to others.
We loved our stay at the Airport Planet Lodge. The close proximity to JRO and the complimentary hotel shuttle are easy selling points that make it a perfect place to overnight before/after a flight. The property is beautiful, from the foliage to the pool to the outdoor breakfast area. The rooms are spacious, charming, and clean with beds that are both large and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful and the food was excellent…including the wood-fired pizza which was surprisingly good. We would definitely stay here again!
I love the warm hospitality and everyone at the hospital is ready to assist the guests. It is a short ride in the car from JRO airport and a wonderful place to start our East African Safari.
The Lodge is a ten-minute drive to and from the airport. Perfect for spending a layover night before departing from Kilimanjaro. The staff is very friendly, the property is well-kept, with luscious gardens.
Staff very helpful, breakfast superb, bed comfortable, lodge not expensive for that kind of accomodation. Beautiful green scenery around sweet guest houses. Really wonderful experience.
