Clean, stylish furniture and modernly equipped kitchenette. We enjoyed the underfloor heating that made the temperature in the room so comfortable (we visited mid April, but we caught a cold front with some snow even). Perfect location, near the river, very quiet and pastoral with a walking trail near by. The owners were very friendly and helpful before and during the stay, and they also provide paragliding experience, which my teenagers did and enjoyed a lot.

The staff were exceptional, so friendly and really made our stay extra special.
The rooms are basic, but very clean, and the location is so unique it really was a once in a lifetime stay.
Even though there was a powercut in the morning, they still provided a lovely breakfast. The are lots of lovely walks, view points and the atmosphere at the lodge is very welcoming. Thankyou for a great stay!
Tone is a great host and the place is fantastic, considering it is a wooden house. However the toilets and the kitchen were in another house fully equipped and clean (just dont forget your coffee machine). Our house was the one with a glass roof, unfortunately we couldn't enjoy the stars because it was raining every night so we already have the perfect excuse for going back next summer.
We’ve stayed in dozens of properties all over the world and the Captains Lodge was our favourite. Stunning location, amazing outdoor area, great river view, relaxing hot tub, comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, spacious lounge area and a lovely host. Just wish we’d been able to stay longer.
Lovely Alpine wooden house, very cozy (even with a tile stove for winter!). Kitchen had enough pots, plates, etc for everything we needed. Easy parking and very walkable to the lake, groceries, post office, restaurants etc. Family wants to return :)
A friendly welcome close to the lake in the bay of the nearby mountains. The slightly worn furniture only strengthened the authentic spirit of the place! (Former hunting lodge?) The uniqueness of the experience was only enhanced by the kindness of the staff and the wonderfully rich breakfast. I don't want anything worse!

Captain’s Lodge was absolutely perfect for our weekend get away. We loved the beautiful patio and hot tub and the location is ideal with a bakery across the street and ice cream parlor next door. The lodge is thoughtfully equipped with everything that you could possibly need, and we appreciated the personal touches such as blooming plants, water in the fridge, and fresh fruit on the table.
