Let me make a list: - friendly hosts - we felt welcome and like home from the very first day - style - lots of hand made furniture, wood, stone, natural materials create a bit medieval atmosphere. - the views and the location - spectacular, a bit secluded, perfect to escape the hustle and bustle. - dogs - Luna (a Central Asian Shepherd Dog, aka the Alabai) gets a special place in our hearts. A gentle giant, loving pats, scratching and treats. Don't be fooled though - she's a fearless guardian and protects the homestead against wildlife. - facilities - the house is well equipped with all you may need for a pleasant stay. There's a swimming pool, a fireplace/BBQ, whole-beans coffee maker... Oh, and did I mention the hosts? Thank you for having us, we had truly wonderful holidays.

the location is in the woods and it is a bonus! the host leaves nearby and he is very responsive and wants you to feel satisfied . the river is behind the house and you can sit on the little bridge built on it. very relaxing place! the hosts dog comes to visit , he is very friendly. you have mosquito nets on windows- which are very useful! the host gave us exact instructions how to reach the house, without them we were lost ;)

The place is in a village, on a quiet street and from there you can easily visit Transfagarasan, Balea or the many beautiful places near Avrig. It's a great spot to start your trips from.
