Ideal for nature lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and have kitchen facilities. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than vacation homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
The lodge is so beautifully peaceful and the staff are lovely. Our room had fabulous views over the valley and the food is very good. Jose recommended a fantastic circular walk from the property which is highly recommended
Kilawasi Lodge is a lovely tranquil place - we enjoyed a wonderfully comfortable bed, nice bathroom and mountain views. The staff were amazing - we enjoyed dinner by candlelight as their main power was down. They opened breakfast early (5:30 am) as we had to depart by 6am.
The lodge was perfect in a beautiful small village. The grounds were expansive and clean. The rooms were spacious and very clean. We had a beautiful balcony overlooking the fields and hills and river. Very relaxing! The staff was super helpful and kind and the food was delish!
The manager of the lodge is very helpful to plan anything you need. The room is more than clean, the view on the canyon beautiful. Yanke is a great location to trek directly in the region or go to the baths (piscinas termales). They also serve a delicious breakfast and offer very good food for lunch or dinner.
The staff were excellent, we asked about organising a tour and a man there, sat with us and explained all options and answered many questions. Then he called tour operators and finally (as no tour guides were available) he organised a driver for us and even our ongoing journey to Arequipa. We were very impressed. The food was also good and the lodge is generally nice.
Had a fantastic stay at Colca Lodge Spa and Hot Springs. Family rooms were great as the children had their own little area with twin beds on the top floor of our unit which gave us more space. View from the room over the river and valley was absoloutely stunning. We loved the hot springs, so relaxing after a busy day and and it was great that there was a bar area down there to get drinks as bit of a trek down / up the hill. We had the BBQ meal one afternoon which was fantastic. Breakfast variety was also good
The facility is stunning. We were in Colca Canyon for 2 days, and the Colca Lodge was a perfect location for discovering a little of the area. The hot pools were very relaxing, and we enjoyed the alpaca/llama farm with additional information on the condors of the area. The food in the restaurant and bar/grill was great. The staff helped us organize a zipline tour nearby, and that was great.
