Wonderful staff and an idyllic location on the river. The women managing during the day and cooking the meals (very good local ingredients and vegetarian friendly) were kind and welcoming, the children sweet and engaging. Jaime, one of the male admins, was also very helpful, and Mateo, the boat capitan, pointed out some wonderful animals at night. As a female solo traveler, it was especially nice to engage with the women - Miluska, Rosa and Danuska. A lovely family. You are very much immersed in nature with a screened bungalow in which all sounds and songs are present. It has a rustic feel, with mosquito nets over the beds, and there is hot water for the shower. A good spot if you want to feel connected to nature. There is a little dock for the river boats landing on the property. I am grateful for the experience and the kind and accomodating staff.

The location was far from the city, allowing for peace and limited noise at night. The guides were friendly. Food was okay - nothing special at all and was the same every day. Pool was cold to make up for the lack of efficient fans or aircon.

The location is very good, with a gorgeous view of the river. Feels very tranquil. Only 30 min drive from the airport. Easy to get there, but also right in the forest by the river.
There is three meals a day included. A breakfast buffet, and three courses for lunch and dinner. You can choose your starter and main from a few options every day. Water is provided, and breakfast comes with juice. Other drinks have to be bought.
There is a little pool with water that is changed every 2-3 days. And hammocks throughout the property.

The cabins were right on the river. I could watch the river from my bed. Good thing too, as we arrived sick and spent the first couple of days resting. There was also a little patio to sit outside. It was very peaceful despite the ruckus from the birds. Emanuel and his family were super nice and helpful and provided beautiful meals. It was a little remote and if we had known we would have brought some snacks and drinks. There is a fridge at the cabin. Emanuel was super helpful and picked a couple of things up for us and organized a ride to town for my son. There are also bikes that we could use.
We did a couple of tours that Emanuel organized for us and we enjoyed them very much.
All together we spent 5 nights and l totally loved my time there.

We enjoyed the beautiful lodge and delicious food. Beds were comfortable and we were grateful that the entire cabin was screened in (vs some lodges that only provide mosquito netting around the beds). This meant we could enjoy the room, take a shower, etc, without fear of becoming a meal for the bugs.
Most importantly: the rooms had great air conditioning! Everything was very clean. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The breakfast was very good every morning. The staff was always super friendly, helpful, and accommodating. We stayed 2 nights, then went out to a couple of jungle lodges for 3 nights. When we were done in the jungle we decided not to fool around looking for another hotel. Copasu had everything we wanted and we were so glad to come back to this hotel for our last two nights in Puerto Maldonado. This place was so great!!

Our stay was one of the highlights of our trip to Peru. Amazon Lodge is in a beautiful and peaceful location overlooking the river. Very friendly and helpful staff, simple but well prepared and filling food, very clean, spacious and comfortable sleeping lodges, and excellent tours with a wonderful tour guide (Jose). If you are looking to disconnect from the world and explore and enjoy nature then I highly recommend.
From start to finish, our stay was a wonderful experience. We didn’t have to worry about anything. I felt like everyone really wanted us to enjoy ourselves. The lodges were clean and comfortable, the restaurant was very good, staff were excellent, the excursions were fantastic and the surroundings were amazing.
Enthusiastic extended family-run lodge. Creative food compared with other lodges. Knowledgeable guides - saw giant otters, capybara, 3 types of monkey, sloths, large and small caimans, and too many birds to mention. Not luxurious but comfortable accommodation, and WiFi mostly works.
Our stay at Hacienda Herrera was magical. You are greeted by friendly staff and surrounded by the most spectacular scenery of the Amazon. Kenny and Ruth are wonderful and attentive hosts. Our favorite part was gathering in the main house for home cooked, fresh, organic meals and conversation with other guests. I did my research on lodges in Puerto Maldonado, and I am glad I found Hacienda Herrera. It's a special place that will make your Amazonian adventure one to remember.
The Anaconda Lodge is a great place for a short stay in Puerto Maldonado. It’s conveniently located close to the airport but feels completely tucked away in the forest. The lodges are basic but have everything you need for a comfortable stay. We also loved breakfast – the pancakes and eggs were delicious!
if you are doubting where to book; BOOK THIS ONE! It's new; truely family-ran; and Emanuel goes beyond and above to make you feel home. The water was clear unlike many hotels and the lodges (only 3) are very clean there was no bugs or weird spiders inside.
