Waiheke Island Punga Lodge, hotel in Oneroa

Located in Oneroa in the Waiheke Island region and Little Oneroa Beach reachable within 300 metres, Waiheke Island Punga Lodge provides accommodation with free WiFi, BBQ facilities, a garden and free...

Our hosts were the friendliest ever, and went out of their way to be both hospitable and see to our every comfort, even providing a wonderful afternoon tea each day, which was included in the service. The flat too was clean, well-appointed and although an older building, was in excellent condition, with a well stocked kitchen and bathroom and a very comfortable double / queen size bed. Being removed from the other dwellings we also found that we could come and go at any time without disturbing other guests, which for younger and more active coupes than we are would be a real bonus.

I loved everything about Punga Lodge, the photos really didn't do it justice. Gorgeous setting, quiet, but close to bus lines and town. Walkable. The breakfast was so wonderful , a mix of fresh and just out of the oven delights plus staples to fill you up before island exploring. I read a review about this place that was spot on and I am so glad I did as I said, the photos don't do this stay justice.

Upon arrival we were pleasantly surprised to find we had been given a free upgrade to one of the suites which had incredible views overlooking Oneroa! The suite was well equipped, tidy and clean and the bed was super comfortable. Tawa Lodge is in such a peaceful, beautiful location, very close to bus stops and only a 15 min leisurely walk into Oneroa. Highly recommend :)

Had a great stay at Tawa Lodge!! The room was quaint and cosy, and also nice and warm when it was chilly outside. The view from our room was stunning and it included breakfast which was lovely to eat in the corridor and overlook the sea. The staff were nice and friendly and accommodating. Great location as only a short walk into town and to the beach (around 10 mins). Even though the bathroom was shared it was never an issue and always free when I needed it. Would recommend Tawa Lodge and I would stay here again when visiting the island!

Location wise -it is located nearby to the bus stop (Frank Street), which is convenient to get to the beaches, vineyard and brewery. It takes only 5mins to walk to the Little Oneroa Beach. The host- Diane is so wonderful, she got us heartful breakfast and afternoon tea with homemade muffin in the room on the balcony. Overall we love our stay at Punga Lodge :-)

Look no further! Book your stay at the Waiheke Waterfront Lodge. Pip and Andy are the best hosts! From the delicious breakfasts to the exceptional accommodations, you will be pampered. The ability to rent their e-bikes and have Andy map out our tour around the island was an added bonus.

Our host was great. She is an amazing cook and the morning and afternoon teas were superb. There was secure parking below the lodge. The lodge is close to beach and food outlets.

If I could give it 7 stars, I would. Dyan and Rob (who run the lodge) are amazing. Their hospitality is unmatched. Included is afternoon tea and breakfast for each day of your stay, which is homemade daily by Dyan. They really bend over backwards to make sure you have everything you need for an enjoyable stay. Will 100% be returning to Waiheke Island and specifically the Tawa or Punga Lodge again in the future.

The Punga Lodge was very comfortable and the hosts very friendly. We could use the spa, which was included in the price for the room, and breakfast was brought in our bedroom by the host in the morning. We were even offered an afternoon tea and everything was delicious. Good place to stay on Waiheke Island.
