The motor Lodge was in an ideal location for what we needed. The bed was very comfortable. The staff at the other motel where we had to collect the room key from was very happy, cheerful & pleasant.
Ava Lodge is where we like to stay when we visit Petone, we have stayed here several times, it’s very clean, with lovely rooms which are well maintained with great facilities, lovely friendly staff and a great location, you can’t beat it.
The Midway was absolutely appalling and disgusting.
I asked for my money back, and the manager offered other accommodation in Dumont Motel, which was much better.
If not for that, I would rather sleep in my car than in Midway Pasifika Lodge.
This is the 4th time we have stayed at BK's Motor Lodge in Petone. Each time, we love how clean, tidy and well set out the rooms are. We choose the spa bath so we can relax more. Bonus if you can book a sea view room too!
Stayed at the boulcott lodge before a concert in Lower Hutt. The room was lovely, staff friendly and helpful. Love how the rooms are set up and there were a few of our group staying there and we all got neighbouring rooms. Such a nice place.

I have been staying at Ava Lodge whenever I travel to Wellington on business and have never been disappointed. Easy walking to restaurants in Petone. It is well positioned for Hutt Valley, Petone and Ngauranga business purposes.
Our stay at the Ava Lodge was great! We were very pleased with the quality of the room and the bed was super comfortable. There was also easy access for parking which is hard to find in Petone.
On arrival receptionist was very welcoming and smiling she warmed our room up for us, was very helpful on directions we wanted to know and also on what the Lodge has to offer etc ... very nice young lady. The Lodge is very close to our Business Conference, our room was spacious and warm comfy lounge chairs nice kitchen fully equipped, beautiful water pressure in the shower clean, serviced daily.
Can't fault anything about my stay at AVA lodge, as expected. We will always use this property for family visiting from out of town, as the location and rooms are top-notch!
