Ideal for nature-lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and self-catered. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than holiday homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
Definitely one of best lodges during EBC. The owners are so sweet! They helped us to book another lodges in further villages where weren’t any bookings, provided helpful info about the trek, cooked delicious food and you’ve got even really hot water. We booked the room even with heating blanket which was pleasure after cold days. They provide also laundry service. I can just recommend!
Mingma and the entire staff took great care of us at the Panorama Lodge. The food is amazing, the rooms are warm, and the dining room has the best library of any we experienced during our three weeks of trekking.
This is my favorite Himalayan lodge. I have stayed here multiple times and always enjoy my visits. The staff is very helpful and kind. The rooms are comfortable with clean sheets and good beds. The shower is lovely too. I really enjoy the food from the kitchen.
The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The location is very nice. The food is good. This has been my favorite Himalayan lodge thus far.
We had an excellent stay at Panorama Lodge in May 2023. Mingma, the manager, and Dinesh, one of the staff, were very kind and welcoming. The room was clean and had a lovely view. We had a room with an attached bathroom and had a lovely hot shower (a rare commodity in Khumbu). The meals were good and Dinesh makes a great latte!
The views from the lodge are spectacular. The beds are comfortable. To have a hot shower in the room after a long hike to Namche is refreshing and comforting. The location is super convenient, super close to the bazar, but we’ll located to avoid the noise/business around it. It was a really nice stay :)
Everything is on another level compared to the other lodges/hotels in the Everest area. I’d even say the staff, service and beds are Nepal’s finest, we had two great stays!
Clean. Hospitable. Great value for money compared to other lodges that charge the same but are not clean. The owner, Mingma Sherpa, and his mom are kind hearted and incredible people who genuinely care about each of their guests, despite having famous guests like Conrad Anker and Hollywood stars.
The hotel has a great view of namche bazar. The rooms were super clean and neat. The owner (Mr Mingma) is really friendly and is always there to help you out with anything. Mr Mingma helped us out with our trek itinerary, arranged our guide and even booked our return flight. If you are going to namche Bazar Panorama Lodge and Restaurant is the best place to stay.
