Ideal for nature lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and have kitchen facilities. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than vacation homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
We stayed at the Reisa Lodge as a Family of five during summertime. We had a lovely time with a very friendly host and long everlasting evenings. The appartement had an amazing view on to the river and was spacious enough for us. If you look for a quiet and beautiful landscape without lots of tourists, you will definitly find it at the Reisa Lodge. Definitly worth a stay, we will be back!
We absolutely loved our stay at Reisa lodge! It is nestled in a beautiful valley in a remote part of Northern Norway, on the edge of a national park. We loved being totally surrounded by nature. The lodge is very comfortable and well maintained. Plus a hot tub on the roof! The restaurant wasn't open when we were there because there weren't enough people, but we actually loved being able to cook for ourselves. Overall it was a really unique and amazing stay. Huge thank you to Roar for making us feel so welcomed!
Reisa Lodge was an absolute hidden gem. Fantastic accommodation in a beautiful part of the country. We only stayed one night which was a mistake as we could have easily spent much more time in the area.
We will be back again in summer!
The lodge is well located inside the Reisa Park in front of the river. The owner - Mr Roar - and the wife are wonderful hosts, very nice and making you feel like if you are at your own home.
- Exceptional lodge in the remotest of locations (Reisa National Park)
- Variety of activities for winter and summer. We went in February and had an unforgettable time snowshoeing, snowmobiling, ice fishing, husky sledding and ice climbing.
- Peter, Roar and Radka were exceptional hosts / guides with an intimate knowledge of the region
- We we’re lucky enough to see the northern lights right in the jacuzzi at the lodge
- 10/10 experience, would return 100%
Unfortunately we were just one night in the lodge but it was perfect. The location is amazing and we got a very nice room with huge windows to the river. Hotel owner Roar is super friendly and very helpful. We definitely recommend the place.
We were in the lodge all alone the first night. What a great experience and with the fireplace all to ourselves, we had a fabulous evening switching from sitting by the fire to watching the Northern Lights outside and back. Both mornings breakfast was ready to the agreed time and was tasty. Rooms were of good standard, nicely furnished and with good space.
