One of the most magical places I’ve been to. The road to there is bumby, meaning that it’s literally in the middle of nowhere/nature. I personally loved that. We drove there by pick up and already the way up there felt like an adventure itself. Once arrived, we saw the magical lights everywhere. The owners really wanna make it a special place, welcome you warmly, have the best food I’ve had in Nicaragua. Whatever you order, it’s amazing. The rooms were super comfortable, big, beautifully decorated and I slept like a baby. The whole area is family-/kid-friendly, nice to calm down, relax and enjoy the beauty of nature. Absolutely perfect.

We loved staying very close to nature. The huts are comfortable and not too hot during the night. They offer a fan and a mosquito net to keep any bugs away. They are very well maintained. Breakfast can be ordered on a daily basis and was very tasty.
The hosts are super helpful with booking shuttles, scooters or any activities such as kayaking (was awesome) :)
Each hut has their own outdoor shower and toilet.
We would always book again.

Quiet and natural surroundings, views to volcan Concepción, trees, flowers, birds and lots of space. At the same time it was close enough to the main road right after the junction to Balgue. We could do a lot by walking or renting a bicycle. Busses also pass nearby. The breakfast was good and the accomodation very spacious with great mosquito nets which were not even necessary because all windows had screens. The bathroom is made with beautiful tiles there is a hot water shower. We loved the natural building materials and the compost toilets that are cleaned every day. Hammock, table, chairs to sit outside on the veranda. We could see hummingbirds during breakfast and the blue morpho passed by as well :)
Located 13 km from Maderas Volcano, Finca Ometepe offers a garden, a terrace and air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony and free WiFi.

Ideal for nature-lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and self-catered. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than holiday homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
The breakfast and dinner menu is absolutely great and had a unique variety of local Nicaraguan and Western dishes. The pool and the cabins are very quiet and offer amazing views of Conception Volcano and sunsets. Very close to the lodge, it is possible to start a hike to the top of Maderas volcano.
Staff were great, food at the hotel was good - especially the local honey! The staff were more than happy to organise taxis (which are generally expensive on Ometepe regardless) for you. The pool has incredible views of the volcano, and the main lodge was incredibly relaxing with a well stocked and reasonably priced bar
Beautiful location. Walking distance to main road with some nice restaurants within 30 mins. Information booklet in the room was helpful.
Help to rent mopeds, organise transport, guides etc.
The room was spacious, bed was really comfortable, hardly any creepy crawlies (this is a complaint from many of the eco lodges).
Good wifi.
2 fans which was nice.
Good shower pressure and temperature.
The most beautiful view of sunset from the bar/ restaurant area or your own balcony. The hammock by the cabaña was perfect for relaxing. We loved the outdoor shower. The breakfast was tasty and lots of choice. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Easy to book tours/ rent ATV from reception (company will bring an ATV up to the lodge for you). The sounds of the birds and howler monkeys around the Cabanas.
Stunning views from both the lodges and the communal areas. Relaxed laid back feel. Staff generally friendly and helpful. Lovely setting for pool. Small village of Balgue down the hill was cute, with a lovey local cafe.
The eco lodges are tucked away in the forest - all with beautiful views of the large volcano. This was magical. The staff at the hotel are absolutely lovely. So kind and helpful. We appreciated Tania’s help in particular. She was super friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was the best we’ve had and the daiquiris with any fruit, lovely! The views from the reception/ bar/ dining room/ pool are the utterly breathtaking.
The staff were wonderful. The hotel is located in the wilderness with monkeys, nature and wildlife all around. We liked the pool and pool area and the food was delicious. The hotel and lodges are crafted extremely well. We were woken up to the sounds of howler monkeys in the morning! The shower outdoors was a nice way to wake up in the morning. We had a good mosquito net all around the bed.
This is an amazing forest eco lodge that we couldn't but extend out stay few more nights, It is one of the best eco lodges we stayed in during our travels. The breakfast is amazing and the all day free fruit basket and coconuts are just an added bonus. It is clean, quite and peaceful. Loved that eco lodge as it is in the nicest part of the island, Balgue. The lady that runs the lodge also spend her days running and volunteering teaching locals English at the school on the property, Highly recommend this place, do not hesitate.
