We really enjoyed our stay at Windhoek Game Camp. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-decorated. The dining/bar area was really relaxing and a great spot to enjoy our meals. We ate breakfast and dinner there and the food was excellent. The high point were the 2 giraffes that visit every morning for some breakfast. It was very entertaining. I recommend this hotel to other travelers.
Ideal for nature lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and have kitchen facilities. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than vacation homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
The best thing about the lodge, were the safari drives - super knowledgable guides, with fun and interesting stories. It was an absolut highlight! Etosha was not nearly as fascinating, as these drives. Everything was really nice and decent, food very good and the staff manager went out of her way to help us.
Our first night stay in Namibia before we embark on 20 days road trip around Namibia and we tried all the breakfast at campsite and lodges. I have to admit the one at APS guest house is rated as the best and most delicious breakfast. While we stayed at a time when there was power cut, but they moved us to another room with electricity but no internet. They even provided a discount for the inconveniences caused during check out. The area is very closed to Mall and supermarket.
At first we have appreciated the location with a 360 degrees panoramic view with the mountains all around, the quietness
Then we were Very good welcoming by all the staff
It was the only safari lodge where we could go hiking directly from the lodge in the nature and see animals(girafes, zebras, oryx, springbocks, osrtiches, kudus, etc)in safety. There are many possibilities for sundown or sunrise hikings, not far away from the lodge
Diner and breakfast very good
Great lodge. everything fine. spacious accomodation, good staff. The only 'but' is that the lodge is a bit to large for us. Ater travelling for years through Namibia, we prefer now smaller, more personal and cosy lodges.
The hotel has a restaurant onsite that serves excellent, creative meals. The hotel gives you a breakfast coupon that covered our breakfast there. Excellent coffee! Good location - short walk to church and about 15" to Craft Market. Large rooms with kitchen (we didn't use) and large bathroom. Easy check-in with room available early. All staff pleasant. Good A/C. Remember most hotels and nearly all lodges have a staff tip box ... don't forget to give a little tip, it means more than you can imagine!
Well located, just 30 minutes drive from Windhoek but still able to feel as if you're in your own game lodge with ostrich and warthogs grazing. The staff were always happy to help.
The host Dirk welcomed us warmly and he was very accommodating. The staff was very friendly. The place is very quiete highly recommended for a getaway . The game drivev is highly recommended. Eden is one of the best lodges excellent service.. Thank you
