Absolutely unique experience in the vanilla lodge as you are completely immersed in the nature of Bois Cheri in the midst of the greenery, lake and animals in the transparent bubble.
Watching the sky change from sunset to sunrise from the bubble and hearing all the noises from frogs to ducks while being lucky to have a rain falling and hearing every drop hit the bubble cover was an absolutely exquisite experience.
Anusha and Kevin were very kind, friendly, and welcoming. Dinner was amazing and intimate as the whole restaurant is booked for only the 3 bubble lodge guests. Food was excellent both in terms of portions and taste.
The tea tasting was a great way to end a very especial experience.

Ideal for nature-lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and self-catered. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than holiday homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.

Gorgeous views from the lovely Lodge. Really breathtaking. Though v expensive stay I would say it was magical and worth it. Knowledgeable interesting guides and wonderful walks with amazing views and monkeys, deers, toads and interesting birds and bats. Lovely breakfast. Sweet helpful staff. Couldn't do 4 by 4 tours sadly as pregnant but looked fun.

Ferney Natural Lodge was the most beautiful place we stayed on the island. The staff were kind, helped us to sort our broken rental car and looked after us well during our stay. The Lodge is situated in a tranquil location with breathtaking views of the hills. There is lots of beautiful hiking trails to explore and beautiful swimming to relax after. The dinner was delicious, probably the best food we had in Mauritius. We will 100% stay here again.
Very good lodge, located in the middle of nature and mountains with a lot of options for exploring the area once you have good weather. Recommended if you want to escape to a quiet and relaxing place for a few days

Staying at Ferney you can have a nice and easy trail that depart directly from the lodge.
We loved the location, the decor that fits perfectly the theme, the atmosphere, the exclusive feeling due to limited lodges therefore not too crowded, the main lodge with the fire place and the plunge pool were the highlights, the food was exquisite, the surrounding nature was calming and beautiful, the hike trails. We spread the word already to all our friends.
Amazing location, beautiful lodges with really nice interior, the deers in the evening, incredibly kind staff. And thank you Beatrice for all the great recommendations to explore the island. We hope to come back.
