The food was great as well and they were all the time available and they easily arranged everything we asked for. The location is mini jungle, we loved it! Very hostile and communicative owner. Very nice and quiet place. Just monkeys sometime run over the roof and make noise. Accomodation is roughly 600m from the elephant orphanage. There is nothing in direct vicinity but jungle. Good breakfast after safari. Safari arranged by the owner, we got picked up directly in the accommodation.

Staying with Sujee was a delightful experience ! We had the chance to stay in the middle of the jungle between trees and a river flowing by. The room was super clean and comfortable and Sujee’s wife prepared the best Sri lankan diner for us. A true peaceful peace of heaven. We also did a Safari with Sujee who know his Udawalawe park by heart and can guide you the best to see the most of animals !

I've stayed in many residences, cottages, and hotels around the world, but here I left a piece of my heart. The well-maintained garden, the variety of birds chirping (you can literally go birdwatching in the garden), the clean rooms, the delicious food, and the hospitality of the staff. You couldn't ask for a better place to stay before a safari in Udawalawe. It’s underrated, go and experience it for yourself, and thank you again for everything!

Excellent family run guesthouse , very welcoming family , very hospitable and looked after our family so well. Highly organised rain forest tour which was excellent. Amazing food , home cooked with a wonderful variety of foods. We ate mostly Sri Lankan food which was excellent. A very enjoyable stay in comfortable accommodation in the rainforest.
