We had an excellent stay at Hill Safari. Hosts Eomal and his wife and staff Nuwan are very kind, friendly, and helpful. The location is an excellent place for Horton Plains and many other hiking trails. Also, the views around the property are excellent - tea plantations, farms, mountains, and long distance views as well. Eomal, who has lived there over 40 years, is very knowledgeable about the area and all the hiking opportunities. Home cooked dinner and lunch were very tasty. He arranged our travel logistics to the Horton Plains and to the Train station.

Amazing place, breathtaking views! We realized the moment that we checked in that we SHOULD have booked for two nights (or more) not one. I would have loved to have attended the cooking and yoga classes and simply enjoyed the majestic location.

I loved that it was central to Ella only a couple minutes walk into town, but also still quiet where we stayed and secluded for privacy. Additionally our host Kasun made an amazing breakfast every morning for us. Plus the little details of a hair brush, hairdryer etc. in the room just made the stay even more comfortable!!!

10 of 10! We stayed 5 nights at Hill Safari with our two little boys. The scenery is amazing. The garden with all the flowers is very relaxing. We were able to do some hikes directly from the apartment. Thank you very much for your warm hospitality and the fanstastic food!
The location of Hill Safari is utterly stunning. Remote, nestled away in the hills, surrounded by great walks. Steven and the team make you feel right at home. They are so immensely helpful, working out walking routes, always making sure you’re well fed with the most delicious food and that all your needs are catered for. We absolutely loved our 4 days there and we were sad to leave. Strongly recommend staying here!
The Hill Safari is beautifully situated on a hill. The rooms are very nice with a huge panoramic window, very comfortable beds and warm blankets. There is also a mosquito net. I felt comfortable all around. All the people there contribute to a wonderful and unforgettable stay. The food is very tasty and excellent. I went on several walks in the surrounding area. It is all so peaceful and beautiful, I will definitely be back. Thank you for everything.
The lodge is in an excellent place and the host Mr Pererra and his staff are very helpful and give top notch service. The dinner was delicious and breakfast availability early morning was really a perk I enjoyed. The living room where you get dinner is really nice. Overall it is a very cozy place with a great view and nice places to hike around. I highly highly recommend this place and thank everyone for the great service. I will visit again.
The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and they gave to tasty meals until were check out. They Warmley welcome us and treated amazingly. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this lodge for anyone visiting ohiya- Haputhale.
