The view was amazing and the host were so loving! The way to the lodge is kind of a hike, but the host took us with the car to bring our luggage and helped at anytime to arrange a tuk tuk to go to the city center. In the evening we always saw a lot of Bats during the sunset, just amazing !!

I cannot thank the hosts enough. They were so accommodating and friendly . The cooking demonstration is recommended and I felt very welcomed. Nothing was too much trouble and they helped with any information I needed, and were so welcoming.

Wonderful location right by the Kandy lake. Super comfortable, lovely large rooms with all the amenities. Clean and classy lodgings. The staff were friendly and there's a restaurant downstairs with super yummy food.
We received a very warm welcome when we arrived, particularly as our driver wasn’t quite sure which driveway to use (it’s the steep one!) we enjoyed that the lodge was set back a bit further from the main street and nestled into nature, the layout of our room was excellent as was the attention to detail of the staff. We also loved dining at the restaurant.
The location itself is great, a stones throw from the main parts of Kandy and great proximity to restaurants, cafes and shops.
The room we had(facing roadside) is so windy and cool. Bed is comfort to sleep in. Fan is strong. Filter water and washing machine are free to use. They also have mineral water bottle for purchase. Staffs are helpful. Its a nice walk along kandy lake to the lodge. There are few buses to/from hotel, just ask for Devon stop, then a short walk to the lodge. Overall a comfortable stay and good value for money.
The lodge is a little outside of Kandy and it felt like I was in the middle of a rainforest. Stunning location. The manager was very lovely, he was always on hand to help with everything. I did the yoga classes every morning which were really great - very different from Westernised yoga, I learned so much about the flows and chakras and yoga “theory” from the instructor.
There are also Ayurvedic treatments (between 45-60usd for lodgers) which were such a nice treat :)
We had a lovely stay at Witherspoon Lodge, we were picked up by our hosts from the station and had fun trying to get up that infamous steep hill! (The hill is really not that bad to walk up)
The room is set with a beautiful landscape which was lovely to wake up to every morning. Breakfast was lovely and we felt so welcome.
This place was beautiful. The lodges were perfectly clean and lovely. The views from this lodges are perfect. The food was delicious and the team were very accomodating with our halal food preference. The best thing about this place is the very kind and lovely staff. We had the best hospitality particularly from staff member Visha. He was constantly friendly and always making sure we were looked after. It made our stay perfect. Highly recommend a stay at the beautiful Madulkelle honeymoon suite 😊
Great balcony with view on the Temple of The Tooth. Lodges are very spacious with all needed amenities. Really nice breakfast and good location near to Kandy centre but in the same time calm and quiet. Really kind hosts!
