Sigiri Jungle Villa, hotel in Sigiriya

Set in Sigiriya, 2.2 km from Sigiriya Rock and 5.4 km from Pidurangala Rock, Sigiri Jungle Villa offers accommodation with free WiFi, air conditioning and access to a garden with a terrace.

Rooms are simple, but spacious and incredibly clean. Has all essentials: no kettle, but absolutely not a problem when the manager of the property is serving tea and coffee free. Location, off the main road. Amazing if you like somewhere a bit quieter, away from the tourist hubbub, but still accessible. 20-min walk to the Rock. Some tuk-tuks ask for more to drive them down the back street road. We just asked them to drop us off at the main road entrance and walked from there. Breakfast - sensational. Five stars. Home cooked coconut rotis and hoppers. Fresh, served at your selected time. But now the star of the show: Property Manager, Fernando, is a hospitality king. Waiting up late for us, to greet us with great welcome and ensure we had booked all of our drivers/activities for the next day. Making sure we were getting the best rates for our tours and tuk-tuks. Whatever we needed, Fernando delivered. He even tried to give us back our tip! But he deserved every penny. If you're reading Fernando, sir, thank you so much!!

Very lovely and clean rooms. In the middle of nature so you do need transport to get to the city centre. However, the food at the chalet is also very good. Super friendly staff!

The Jungle Path Lodge, hotel in Sigiriya

Situated in Sigiriya, 1.1 km from Sigiriya Rock and 3.9 km from Pidurangala Rock, The Jungle Path Lodge features accommodation with free WiFi, air conditioning, a garden and a terrace.

Beautiful location, lots of nature to observe in the immediate area. Nice and close to town, although slightly tricky mud track in the rain, and some dogs nearby. Owner and his family organised loads for us, and gave us breakfast late after we returned from elephant safari as we had missed it. Food was also great and varied each breakfast time. Such friendly people who made sure our stay was pleasant and easy. Very comfy bed, AC, fan, hot water was limited (we might have not been working the shower properly though!).

Terrific location to Lion Rock and the various elephant safari parks. The pool was lovely and being in the tree house was a great novelty. The staff went out of their way to ensure we were well looked after.

This is my second time at the Sungreen resort. As I expected, the food was exceptional, with menu that included a variety of Sri Lankan and Western dishes. The service throughout my stay was outstanding and welcoming. The hotel's location is convenient, making it easy to go on safari and visit Sigiriya, Dambulla temple, Ritigala, and more. I highly recommend this hotel.

This is a lovely property in a great location for Dambulla, Sigiriya, Polonnaruwa and Minneriya National Park. Lots to see and do all around here. The room was big and comfy, with great views. The staff were lovely, very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was fab and they went out of their way to accommodate my husband’s dietary needs. We also booked a safari through the hotel, this was last minute and our jeep arrived within 5 minutes. The price of the safari was cheaper than I found online too so that was a definite bonus.

Our stay in the tree house was lovely. Our host Ruwan was so helpful with organising any excursion or transport we required. Even included us in a family celebration at a retirement village he has supported for 22 years. His main staff person, Isuru, looked after us exceptionally. And Irosh, the safari guide from our villa, gave us a wonderful tour of Habarana Eco Park- we were lucky enough to see several elephants. And Anthony was always happy to take us anywhere we wanted to go. Fond memories of Habarana.

All was excellent . We loved the family who looked after us while we stayed. They cooked for us every evening with the best food we have eaten while in Sri Lanka ! Delicious! The breakfasts too were delicious with lots of variety! The room was spacious and had great aircon and was extremely clean. The family organised tuk tuk drivers and safari jeeps too. The lodge is a little out of town but so quiet away from the noise of Habarana, we were so happy there.

The lovely chocolatecakes we had when we arrived on our bicycles😁. The family was very helpful in organizing things for us like a safari and a tuktukdriver for a day who drove us to Dambulla, Pidurangala Rock and to our organic cooking class in Sigiriya (which we found on reisjunk).. Manike Lodge Is a very quiet place, which we loved very much.

Ritigala ancient ruins and forest reserves near to the property makes it a worthy stay. If you are looking for a calm and quiet stay (without WiFi too) then RITIGALA LODGE is your place. Awesome lodges situated between lush green vegetation, they have a tree house as well. Pool was awesome too.
