The location was really nice, it was surrounded by jungle/trees so there was a lot of wildlife around. The owner is great, taking care of our needs and the breakfast is delicious it changed each day which we liked. The room was spacious and the outside area is a nice place to relax.

Brand - new apartment with all amenities for a comfortable stay and a beautiful view over a rice field, quiet and save neighborhood as well. Lasa and his wife are super kind hosts and I loved the daily home-made breakfast with fruit and fresh coconuts from their own garden. It’s been my 2nd stay already and I will definitely come back many more times.

The host family were very sweet, welcoming and helpful. They made us feel like we were at home. The room is on the small side but very comfortable, with air con, a mini fridge, place for luggage, big table etc. They helped us organise a bike rental and gave us recommendations on nice local places to eat. They made us a different breakfast every day which was very nice! The property is also very peaceful and we encountered different animals in their garden.

You could take advantage of the comfort and connection to the local community and very near nightlife... a quick drive either east into the core of Weligama (or westward as well), while being in a chilled, relaxed segment of the merissa-weligama-midigama shoreline.
It was peaceful, quiet and sociable with beach shacks right in front to get to know other tourists and hospitable Sri Lankans running the beachside venues, and family run restaurants next door...either side of the hotel.
The staff and owners at funky sol were great and I really enjoyed the communal social elements - restaurant/bar was welcoming creating great ambiance to get to know others since the restaurant bar gets a lot of patrons from neighboring hotels.
Makes You feel a part of a community from the first day.
Easy to get a tuk tuk ride since there's a defacto tuk tuk stand close by - 100m from entrance.

What an incredible experience. Firstly the property is both safe, secure and clean. The hosts are so kind and friendly, you really feel like part of the family. I felt well and truly looked after. Mamas cooking was exceptional, I highly recommend asking for the coconut roti and dhaal for breakfast with Sri Lankan omelette.
Ideal for nature-lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and self-catered. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than holiday homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
Best place we have stayed in Sri Lanka. Warm hospitality by the hosts. Lovely decoration of the house and the room with antics. Exceptional breakfast at the Lodge. Access to the swimming pool. We had also dinners at the Lodge, it was excellent. Many thanks to have made our stay memorable!
Amazing stay. The terrace at the river is a great place to sit and watch all kinds of animals, and the bird safari is highly recommended, too! The breakfast was rich and tasty, and the owners' hospitality was overwhelming. Thank you!

This was the best and cleanest acommodation we had on SriLanka. Comfy beds, great AC and clean bathroom. Host was very nice and arranged sooters and safari for us. Breakfasts were just the best part.
Mr Ruka, his wife & daughter were friendly & helpful. The home-cooked food was plentiful & good. Mr Ruka organised an excellent river safari, where we saw lots of birds & other wildlife, & insisted we took his china teapot & cups on the boat with us, so we could enjoy our morning tea! The hotel's riverside location is lovely - great to watch the birds while eating breakfast under the canopy in the garden. Mr Ruka also offers a tuktuk service.
Everything about our four nights at Ginganga Lodge was exceptional and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. The setting is beautiful and the attention to detail impressive. The staff are attentive without being in any way intrusive and the food, and the cocktails, were all delicious. We stayed in the Deluxe Suite which was just amazing. We took advantage of the tuktuk service into Galle and were always picked up promptly when we requested a return. We stayed in some superb places on our three week trip but this was the best.
Our extended stay at Indika's Residence was beyond memorable. The warmth of the family made it feel like home. I highly recommend both Indika's Residence and Ginganga Lodge for an extraordinary experience. Can't wait to return!

Amazing little homestay located right on the beach.you can access the private beach, but it's not good to swim. The room was air conditioning and clean. The host welcomed and cared for us as their own relatives. The meals were amazing and super delicious. She prepared us crabs and a large fish, which made it fresh. The owner brought us to very nice spots in Galle city area, including a boat safari.. It was wonderful .. Thank-you Darshi for everything.. you made our day with lots of fun.
This was my second visit and it was even better than last year. Ginganga Lodge is quite exceptional with 6 beautifully designed suites in the midst of idyllic tropical gardens and surrounded by nature. It is the perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of Galle city yet it is just a short tuk tuk ride away. The restaurant offers well presented delicious meals and the staff are always friendly and attentive. A thoroughly enjoyable finale to our visit to Sri Lanka
