The hosts are very friendly and accommodating. It's a beautiful environment very close to a waterfall where it is possible to swim (or have a foot treatment from the tiny fish that feed on the dead skin!)

This was the most memorable place in our 3 week Sri Lanka trip. It is a very unique place (crossing through a stream to get there, and steep steps about the place), and as such it wouldn't suit everyone, but it doesn't try to. But you will find peace, and the sense of immersion in a jungle and welcome isolation. The construction of the rooms is amazing and inventive, everything is simple but done with incredible taste, and although things are basic, everything works and was spotlessly clean (which is no mean feat in such a cut-off place). Karina the owner was an inspiring person to talk to; what she has achieved here is amazing.

This was our second stay here which was 7 years ago. The property has much improved and is far better than it used to be. We only stayed as it is close to the entrance for the rainforest walk but we were pleased we chose here again due to the improvements and the staff were far more friendly than they were last time. Breakfast was nice but basic, we didn't have the evening meal. I certainly think it deserves more than a 6 score as shown on booking.com so I have given an 8. It is expensive but there isn't much choice at this entrance to the rainforest. We have visited from both entrances and we consider this to be the best and quietest.

Absolut Nature, absolut beautiful, absolut incredible place to be! We stayed here for 4 days and had an incredible time. The family cares a lot for you and you feel home! Also the food in the accomodation is very delicious and good! When you love nature and you want to wake up with a view of a shining sunrise over the jungel you should stay here! We are very grateful gor our stay and hope to come back one day!

What great place. Large quiet lodge in gorgeous rainforest. Manager does a wonderful job probably all the jobs. One of our best Sri Lankan dinners and breakfast very generous and delicious. She organised a guide for us in Sinharaja rainforest - such an amazing guide and trek.
The Eco Lodge in the forest was incredible; the pictures on the post don't do it proper justice. The staff (Husband and Wife team) were kind, thoughtful locals, so they knew a lot the area and cared about our stay. They communicated as needed and prepared us for a successful stay and hike in the forest with a knowledgeable guide. Ohh, and the food at their restaurant was some of the best food we had in the country!
We had a great stay at Evergreen. The owner also took us on a walking safari of the park, which was amazing. The safari exceeded all of our expectations, and we saw a huge number and variety of animals and loved swimming in a waterfall at the end. The hotel was comfortable and food was good. Overall, a really nice visit!
Absolutely beautiful property. Landed here as a result of cutting another unsatisfactory hotel stay short. Wish we'd booked here for several days. Gorgeous setting, fantastic cottage lodging on a rice paddy field. Kind, attentive family and excellent foods for breakfast and dinner. An excellent, convenient location to plan outings from as well.
Perfect for exploring the nearby rainforest; the host was very helpful with organising a guided tour, which was one of the highlights of our trip. Also, the food was great, the room was clean and spacious, and there was loads of great outdoor space, including a private terrace area outside our lodge, and a tree house!

This was my fourth visit to the Rainforest Lodge and I always enjoy being there surrounded by jungle vegetation and the sounds of nature.
It's a quiet and relaxing place with lots of birdlife and monkeys, and a good base to visit Sinharaja for jungle trekking.
The food is very good and the staff very attentive.
Don't miss out on ordering Mama's Sri Lankan Curry for dinner, it's the best! The views are stunning and the lodge is only a 3 minute walk to the Rainforest. It's a superb day out.
The family is really helpful and supportive. The spacious and well designed lodges are beautifully located amidst a tropical garden offering nice and isloated views of the surrounding nature. A place to calm down. The family restaurant offers nice authentic local cuisine. The swimming pool is a sweet extra. The entrance to the rainforest is very nearby, so definitely, a great place to stay with a high *come again* factor :-)
